why I am taking a risk, for my own good

The main reason why I've left the job security and the corporate world is because I think AI is doing more harm to society than it is doing good.

I've been in technology for the good part of 20 years and I can see that it's literally a race to the bottom right now.

Companies are trying to maximize profits, increase productivity, lower costs, and on top of that we have countries competing against each other that really doesn't seem to have any sort of afterthought towards where are we actually heading.

So the question I keep asking myself is what is it that I have within my control that I can do about it?

And that's the question I intend to find answers to.
