I've got three cats at home and one of them has been drinking out of the toilet directly from the toilet bowl

And my wife has purchased this water fountain which has been a life saver. I'll show you what it looks like.

The problem with this thing though is that it's got two different filters inside that can be washed but need to be replaced eventually.

So I've ordered a box of replacement filters and my point here is — why do each one of these need to be packaged in their own plastic sleeves?

Is that not just a waste of resources?

Just makes me mad.
