Genesis — Day 1 of 100

Here's the most powerful thing I've found to actually get something done. I'm going to show you, by doing it. By June 17th — 49 days from now — I will have posted 100 videos on TikTok. From someone who's never made one before.

Pause here — what did I just do?

I just made a public commitment. To real humans.

Here's why this works.

If you're setting out to do something, however you're the only person that knows about it — there's no consequence if you don't follow through with it.

But when you tell real humans — psychologically, we don't want to be called liars.

We inherently want people to like us, to continue paying attention to us, to find us trustworthy, dependable. All the qualities that make us feel socially accepted.

That's why, when we commit to something to another human — and the more other humans the better — the more we feel inclined to follow through with what we have publicly said.

So why is June 17th important to me?

It's exactly 49 days from now — and it's the last day I'll have a steady stream of income coming in. Twenty years in corporate life. Done.

We can all see where things are headed. It's increasingly difficult to find a job. The cost of living goes up every day. There are redundancies happening every week.

But amongst all of this, I also think it's a great window of opportunity — if you can see it.

That's the real reason I'm leaving. I want to share what I see, so other people might see it too. I don't want to stand by and watch myself become one of the people who gets laid off — with little or no say in that situation.

This video is one example of me doing exactly that. Putting something out there publicly so I can't quietly let it die.
